How do you handle teak that is checked or cracked?
Checking (surface cracking) in teak is caused by moisture loss and UV damage. We assess severity before recommending treatment. Light checking can be improved with deep cleaning and oil penetration. Severe cracking may indicate planks that need replacement — we will inform you honestly and let you make the decision.
Can you work around a charter schedule?
Yes. We coordinate directly with charter operators or captains to schedule details between bookings. We can typically complete a full interior and exterior detail in one day for vessels up to 60 feet, getting them guest-ready for the next charter quickly.
What is wet sanding and when is it needed?
Wet sanding is a precise surface correction technique that uses fine abrasive paper and water lubrication to remove deep scratches, buffer marks, and surface imperfections that polishing alone cannot correct. It is recommended for vessels with moderate to severe surface defects before ceramic coating application.
