Privacy Policy
A short, honest account of what we do and do not collect. There is not much to it, which is rather the point.
Who we are
Platinum Prestige Detailing, Inc. is a mobile marine detailing business operating in New York. We detail yachts and boats at marinas, yacht clubs and private docks across the Hamptons, the North Fork, Long Island and New York City. This policy explains what happens to your information when you visit theplatinumdetail.com or get in touch with us.
What this website collects
Nothing. This site is a set of static pages. It has no contact form, no login, no newsletter sign-up and no shopping basket. As of the date at the top of this page we run no analytics, no advertising pixels and no tracking scripts, and we do not set any cookies of our own.
As with any website, our hosting provider automatically records standard server logs — things like the IP address a request came from, the page requested and the time it happened. That is a normal part of serving a web page and is used only to keep the site running and secure. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you.
Third parties we send you to
Two services do the work this site does not do itself. When you interact with them, their privacy practices apply, not ours.
- Jobber — every “Get Free Quotation” button on this site opens a request form hosted by Jobber, our scheduling and quoting software. Anything you type into that form (your name, contact details, your vessel, what you need done) is submitted to Jobber and reaches us through our Jobber account. We use it to prepare your estimate and carry out the work.
- Wistia — the videos on this site are hosted by Wistia. The player is not loaded until you actually click play, so no request is made to Wistia unless you choose to watch a video. Once you do, Wistia may set cookies and record playback data under its own privacy policy.
When you phone or email us
If you call, text or email us, we keep what you send — your name, phone number, email address, details about your boat and any photographs you share. We use it to answer you, quote the job, do the work and keep a record of what we did on your vessel. We keep customer records for as long as we have a working relationship with you and for as long afterwards as our accountant and the tax authorities require.
What we never do
- We do not sell your information. Ever, to anyone.
- We do not rent, trade or share it with marketers or data brokers.
- We do not add you to a mailing list because you asked for a quote.
- We do not photograph or publish your vessel in a way that identifies you or your berth without asking you first.
Your choices
If you want to know what we hold about you, want it corrected, or want us to delete it, email francky@theplatinumdetail.com and we will sort it out. We may need to keep records that we are legally required to retain, such as invoices, but everything else can go. There is no form to fill in and no account to close — just ask.
Children
This is a website about detailing boats. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we add anything to the site that changes the picture — analytics, say, or an on-site contact form — we will update this page and change the date below. We will not quietly start collecting things this page says we do not collect.
