How long does a complete yacht detailing take?
We provide detailed time estimates during the consultation based on your vessel's size and condition.
Do you come to my marina, or do I need to bring my boat somewhere?
We provide mobile detailing services and come directly to your marina, yacht club or private dock throughout the Hamptons, North Fork, Long Island and NYC area. We serve locations including Sag Harbor, Greenport, Montauk and Manhattan marinas. We bring all professional equipment and supplies — no need to move your vessel.
What's the difference between regular wax and ceramic coating?
Traditional wax lasts 2–4 months and requires frequent reapplication. Marine ceramic coating bonds to the gelcoat at a molecular level, providing 1–2 years of protection with superior UV resistance, hydrophobic properties and scratch resistance. While ceramic coating costs more initially, it saves money long-term through reduced maintenance and superior protection.
How often should I have my yacht professionally detailed?
Active-use vessels benefit from professional detailing every 2–3 months during the season. At minimum, we recommend comprehensive spring commissioning and fall winterisation detailing, with mid-season maintenance as needed.
Can you remove deep scratches and oxidation?
Yes — through professional compounding, wet sanding and gelcoat restoration. We can remove or significantly reduce deep scratches, heavy oxidation and surface imperfections that cannot be addressed by washing and waxing alone. Each situation is unique; we assess your vessel and recommend the appropriate correction level.
